More charged over recent disorder in Whitehall

Three men have been sentenced for their part in disorder in Whitehall two weeks ago.

Detectives have also charged a further 12 people, bringing the total number charged with offences committed on that night to 38 - including a 14-year old boy

David Spring, 61, from Sutton has been jailed for 18 months after admitting a charge of violent disorder.

Chris Jones, 51 from Romford's been fined for a public order offence; and Ryan Atkin, 41 from Jarvis Brook in Kent has been sentenced to a 12 month community order including 60 hours of unpaid work for a public order offence and obstructing an officer.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with a public order offence. He will appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 23 August.

Eleven other men - aged between 22 and 66 - have been charged with various offences including affray, violent disorder, racially aggravated public order offences and other public order offences.

They'll all appear in court again over the next three weeks.
