The Met Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to following a series of burglaries across London.

39-year-old Daniel Walton is sought by officers investigating 18 burglary offences dating back to 26 June 2022.

It follows incidents across the capital, including in Enfield, Haringey, South Woodford, Hackney and Wandsworth, as well as another in Essex.

Properties that are left empty, either temporarily or when people go away have been targeted in daylight hours.

PC Orlando Livio, from the North Area BasicCommand Unit which covers Enfield and Haringey, said: “Burglary is a horrible offence which can leave victims feeling vulnerable and unsafe in their own home.

“I want to reassure people that there is significant work and resources being put into finding Daniel Walton, but we are asking the public for their help. If you recognise Walton or know where he is then please get in touch.

“There are some simple steps you can take to help prevent coming a victim of burglary including ensuring your doors and windows are locked when you leave the house, or making sure valuable items are not easily visible from outside.”

Members of the public are advised not to approach Walton but to call 999 with an immediate sighting.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 101 and quote CAD4269/12Oct.
