Man dies in south west London house fire

The London Fire Brigade were called out to Richmond on Monday night.

A man has died following a house fire in south west London.

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters responded to a fire on Onslow Road in Richmond, a three storey home.

Part of the ground floor was damaged by the fire and a man found inside was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said: "The Brigade was called at 2008, and the fire was under control by 2205. Firefighters from Richmond, Kingston and Twickenham fire stations attended the scene."

The fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
