Man dies in Brentford house fire

Investigations into what caused the blaze are continuing

A man has died following a fire at a house in Brentford.

The Brigade were called to Netley Road at 1603 and the fire was under control by 1714.

The two storey house fire was badly damaged and firefighters found the man on the ground floor.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman was rescued by firefighters and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

Another woman left the property before the Brigade arrived and was also taken to hospital.

Fire crews from Chiswick and surrounding fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
