Man charged with damaging ULEZ camera

He's accused of spraying paint onto one in west London.

A man has been charged with the criminal damage of a ULEZ camera in west London.

43 year old Matthew Houston, of Uxbridge, was charged following an incident on Monday, 29th January when paint was sprayed on a camera in Long Lane in Hillingdon.

He was arrested in nearby Hercies Road a short time later.

Houston has also been charged with having an article (a spray paint can) with intent to cause criminal damage and assault on an emergency worker after an officer was injured during his arrest.

Houston appeared at Ealing Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 30 January.

He was released on bail to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Wednesday, 28 February.
