Man and woman charged in Enfield murder investigation

A man and a woman have been charged by detectives with the murder of George Eric Rogers from Enfield.
Ellie Ackhurst, 30 and Anthony Elliott, 42, both of no fixed address, were charged with murder in the early hours of Tuesday, 5 March.
Both will appear in custody today at Highbury Magistrates' Court.
An investigation was launched after police were called at 19:21hrs on Friday, 1 March to reports of a man found injured in the communal area of flats in Lockhart Close, Enfield.
Officers responded and found a 66-year-old man with stab injuries. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he died at the scene.
His next of kin has been informed and while formal identification awaits, the force can confirm the deceased is George Eric Rogers.
