Londoners evacuated from homes due to flash flooding
London Fire Brigade says it has taken more than 1000 calls overnight related to flooding.
Some Londoners have been evacuated from their homes overnight, due to flash flooding in parts of north-west and south-west London.
London Fire Brigade says it has taken more than one thousand calls related to flooding and emergency respite centres have been set up in areas worst-affected.
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council have tweeted to say local residents have been supported at a nearby centre.
Firefighters attended a number of incidents across the capital following heavy rain including flooding to residential and commercial properties, people trapped in cars and flood water affecting electrics.
The Environment Agency still has some flood alerts in place (07.00 Tuesday)
The high water levels forced some Tube stations to close yesterday, and people have been urged not to drive through flood water.
