London Zoo keepers are asking people to keep their eyes peeled for two escaped parrots who flew off away on Monday.

The two blue-throated macaws called Lily and Margot made off while flying freely as part of their regular routine.

The zoo says the have taken detours previously but the keepers usually call them back down - but this time the pair have strayed further afield.

The zoo has been working with nearby bird groups, other zoos and Westminster Council to make them aware of the missing birds.

The birds are likely to forage for food down on the ground which is where people may spot them. Anyone who DOES seem them is urged not to approach them but instead to take a photo and send it to birds@zsl.org along with the location using what3words.

Lily and Margot are both two years old
