Images of man police want to speak to over Wandsworth murder

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Wandsworth have named the victim and released footage of a man they want to identify.
When police were called to Thessaly Road, SW8 at 12:36hrs on Thursday, 24 August, officers found a 32-year-old man with a number of knife wounds.
London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended and despite the efforts of medics to save him, the injured man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene at 13:09hrs.
While formal identification awaits, the victim has been named as local man Theo Porteous. Theo’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers
A post-mortem examination will be conducted in due course.
A murder investigation was launched immediately by the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
As the investigation into Theo’s killing continues and detectives have released an image and footave of someone they are keen to identify and speak to.

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, leading the investigation, said: “My thoughts are with Theo’s family and friends, at what is an unimaginable time for them. I have assured them that I and my team will do everything we can to bring those responsible for Theo’s murder to justice.
“Our investigation is progressing at pace and I want to ask for the public’s help in identifying the man in the CCTV image. I would ask anyone who recognises him to get in touch without delay. Likewise, anyone with any information about Theo’s murder should get in touch – even details that may seem irrelevant could be important to our investigation.”
There have been no arrests. Enquiries are ongoing.
