Former Met Police officer from Bletchley charged with child sex offences

A former Metropolitan Police Constable, from Buckinghamshire, has been charged with multiple sex offences.

37-year-old Adam Merriman, from Bletchley, Milton Keynes, is accused of several charges.

The Metropolitan Police say he's been charged with sexual assault by touching of a child under 13 and six counts of arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence.

Merriman, who was a police constable in the force, is also accused of three counts of making indecent images of a child; two counts of sexual activity in the presence of a child; possession of a prohibited image of a child; and three counts of possession of extreme pornographic images.

He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
