Many areas around London were hit with a flash flooding last night. This comes after recent weather warnings and flood warning across the UK.

In North Acton, heavy rain led to isolated floods across accross the area.

Many motorists were stuck in flood waters with hazard lights throughout the night.

Other cars avoided the floods causing travel delays and increased congestion in areas with less floods.

As well as drivers, pedestrians experienced journey disruptions. One pedestrian was struggling to commute through the downpours and flooded pavements.

Some gutters across Acton were lidless with water over-pouring onto the street.

The flooding has caused problems to some rail services this morning.

On the London Overground there were severe delays between Stratford and Richmond and Clapham Junction.

Flooding at Richmond also caused disruption on the District line between Turnham Green and Richmond.

London Fire Brigade has advised that people do not drive through floodwater.

Yellow weather warnings are still in force across London according to the MET office.
