Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters were called to tackle a fire at an industrial bakery on Minerva Road in Park Royal in northwest London in the early hours of this morning.
They were called to the factory just before half past three.
The fire is now under control, but people living nearby are being told to keep their windows closed - and to expect travel disruption.
The Brigade were called at 03:23 and the fire was under control by 06:10, after fire crews from Park Royal, Willesden, Wembley, North Kensington, Ealing, Chiswick and surrounding fire stations arrived.
London Fire Brigade said most of the ground floor and half of the roof of a single-storey industrial bakery was damaged by fire, but there are no reports of any injuries.
The fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by a flat bread igniting within an oven and spreading onto the conveyor belt.
Station Commander Paul Morgan, who was at the scene, said: "Firefighters were faced with a fully-developed fire on arrival.
"One person left the building before the Brigade arrived.
"Crews worked incredibly hard to contain the fire to the single-storey building and prevent further damage.
“The blaze produced some smoke and we asked residents in the local area to keep their windows and doors closed.
"One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used as a water tower to get water on to the building externally.
"Firefighters also used one of our drones to provide an aerial view and support observational awareness.
"There was a cordon in place as a precaution and Minerva Road was closed."
