Metropolitan Police trying to trace three men after MP's office defaced
Investigations are ongoing after graffiti was sprayed onto the building
Metropolitan Police officers have appealed to the public for information as they try to track down three men after an MP's office was defaced.
On November 21st, three men were seen vandalising the workplace of Feryal Clark, MP for Enfield North - who also acts as the shadow minister for crime reduction - at around 11pm.
Now, weeks after the incident, police investigating the incident have released CCTV footage of the three men they are looking to speak to.
One of the men, with a thin black moustache and dressed in a black hoodie with the hood up, appears to smoke a cigarette whilst sporting a large khaki green overcoat.
The second man also wears a black hoodie with The North Face branding, but also is seen to carry a white-grey rucksack with him, as he keeps his hood down.
As well as these two men, a third man, bearded and also wearing a black hoodie could be seen watching the incident take place.
The potential suspects were seen to be writing graffiti regarding the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip, though the specific words could not be determined in the footage.
Detectives at the force have also identified a possible fourth assailant, who had his hood up, whilst also sporting a blue face mask.
PC Louis Blackburne-Maze, who is leading the Metropolitan Police's investigation into the incident asked anyone who may recognise the three men to get in touch as soon as possible.
"Everyone has the right to protest and to have their voice heard, but when that crosses the line into criminality, as it clearly did in this incident, we will take action," he said.
"Elected representatives have an important role to play and they expect to be held to account, but that should not involve feeling unsafe. Neither they nor their staff should have to face targeted attacks and intimidation."
He finished: "Officers investigating this incident have examined CCTV footage from the local area and we have identified three suspects that we would like to speak to. I would urge anyone reading this appeal who recognises them to get in touch."
