A leak affecting three properties last night has caused two large holes in a road in Blackheath.

The holes have blocked off the entire road, causing major traffic disruptions throughout the day. It has left residents confused and angry with one man saying he was frustrated with the lack of road signs and diversions, and another called the situation ‘ridiculous’.

Thames Water say they have now put road closure signs in place and are working hard to repair the road. They hope everything will be back to normal by tomorrow morning.
