Man charged with murder in Brent

Detectives investigating the death of a 40 year old man in Brent have charged a man with murder.

An investigation was launched after police were called out to concerns for the welfare of a man at a residential property in Casselden Road, NW10 on Thursday night.

They forced their way in and found a 40-year-old man with head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has since been identified as Fuad Saman from Brent. His family continue to be supported by officers from the Met's Specialist Crime Command.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Saturday, 12 August confirmed he died as a result of blunt and sharp force injuries to the head.

28 year old Osman Abshir, of Church Road, NW10, was charged on Sunday, 13 August. He will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Monday, 14 August.
