Boy hit by bus fighting for life

The 11 year old is in a critical condition in hospital after the collision in south London.

An 11 year old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a bus in South London.

It happened around quarter past 8 on Tuesday morning - on Norwood Road in West Norwood, SE27.

The Met police said "London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance also attended and the pedestrian, an 11-year-old boy, was taken to hospital - he remains there in a critical condition. His next of kin have been informed."

The driver of the bus stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries - no one's been arrested - police want any witnesses to get in touch.
