Taylor Swift is coming to London and famous pub in Vauxhall says they are ‘bracing themselves’
The Black Dog Pub in Vauxhall ‘bracing themselves’ for Taylor Swift
The Black Dog in Vauxhall, London is seeing ‘people from all over the world coming’ during Taylor Swift's Eras tour.
The pub became well known after Taylor Swift's named a song 'The Black Dog' on her new album, 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT: THE ANTHOLOGY'.
Eva Moss is the social media manager at the pub and speaks about when the song was first released.
"When the song first came out we shared on our social media that the first 100 people to come down to the pub and sing the song lyrics would get a half pint. And we had a queue of people within 15 minutes!
She says, “we’ve already seen an increase during other tour dates outside of the UK. The amount of walk-ins already has been insane.
"People came directly over from the Paris show straight to Vauxhall, London. They turned up with suitcases!
"It’s really exciting but we’re bracing ourselves for what’s to come. We have a great team and we are prepared"
The Black Dog team have started producing merchandise in the run up to Taylor Swift's London performances this weekend at Wembley Stadium.
“We’ve had pint glasses stolen and then seen on eBay that people are selling them as memorabilia.
Eva says she thinks the release of the new album for this leg of the tour “feels like a fresh wave of excitement”.
“It almost feels like a separate tour.
The team at The Black Dog say they were not expecting the album to have as much of an impact as it has and are preparing themselves for the next few days.
