Simialrly, an image of a wolf was painted onto a satellite dish was found in the south London suburb of Peckham.

However within just one hour of the art's discovery, the satellite dish was taken down by three men.

Eyewitnesses who watched the dismantling of the piece said that it was a "shame" that local residents could not enjoy the art before it was taken down.

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: "We were called to reports of a stolen satellite dish containing artwork at 1.52pm on Thursday August 8 in Rye Lane, Peckham. There have been no arrests. Inquiries continue."

Banksy's spokesperson has said that the artist does not condone the theft of the artwork and that the satellite dish's current whereabouts are unknown.
