Arrests following Islington stabbing

One man is being treated for potentially life changing injuries.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a stabbing in Islington.

Police were fist called to reports of fighting in the Finsbury Park area on Monday afternoon at 14:40. It was reported a man had been stabbed.

Officers found a man, with stab wounds, close to Finsbury Park Station.

He was treated by the London Ambulance Service and has been taken to hospital where his condition is being treated as potentially life-changing.

Police have put a cordon in place and are appealing for witnesses.

A male was arrested following the incident and was taken to a north London police station where he remains in custody.

Two further arrests

At around 15:00hrs police were called to a north London hospital by staff after two males presented with stab injuries, believed to be linked to the earlier incident near Finsbury Park, N4.

Both males have been arrested. One remains in hospital receiving treatment while the other has been transferred to a nearby police custody.
