Victim with serious head injuries after phone robbery

It happened in Soho in the early hours of Sunday.

The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital where his condition is not life-threatening, but potentially life-changing.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Soho which has left a man with serious head injuries.

At around 01:35hrs on Sunday, 7 July, the victim was assaulted and robbed of his phone by a group of males in Bateman Street, W1.

The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital where his condition is not life-threatening, but potentially life-changing.

An investigation is under way, led by CID officers based at Charing Cross police station. There has been no arrest at this early stage,
