Appeal after fatal collision in east London
A woman in her 40s has died in Dagenham.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Dagenham in east London.
Police were called to Ager Avenue, close to Barrett Court, at about 13:15hrs on Sunday, 18 August to reports of a collision involving a car and two pedestrians.
Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.
Sadly, despite the efforts of emergency services, a woman aged in her 40s died at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A second woman was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not life-threatening.
The occupants of the car, an 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy, were arrested and later bailed pending further enquiries.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are leading the investigation. They would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or captured it on dash cam or CCTV.
