The Met have released footage of a man they want to speak to after a dog attack left an 11 year old girl in hospital in east London.

It happened on the 28th of September at around 8.30am, as the girl was walking to school along Ben Jonson Road.

She went past a man with two dogs

One of the animals lunged at her and bit her several times - she was left with serious injuries including broken bones.

The owner of the dogs left the scene before the police were called.

Detective Inspector Luke Hampton said: “This was a shocking and sustained attack on a young girl as she walked to school.

“The incident not only left her with serious injuries – including broken bones – but has also left her traumatised.

“We need to quickly identify the owner of these dogs to make sure this does not happen again.”
