Fresh appeal following Chingford murder
39-year-old Preda Eugene was found injured in a wooded area last week.
Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Chingford are renewing their appeals for information.
Police and the London Ambulance Service were called at 21:09hrs on Wednesday, 15 February to reports of an injured man in a wooded area near to Walthamstow Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has been named as 39-year-old Preda Eugene, and officers are continuing to make enquiries to trace his next of kin.
A post-mortem carried out last week found the cause of death was a head injury.

Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
Detective Inspector Frank Copley, said: “Although we've now charged two people in connection with Preda’s murder, I am still keen to hear from anyone who has information about what led up to his death.
“We know that he was living in a hut in the woodland but what happened to cause his death? Did you see him, or anyone else in the area between Saturday, 11th February and the day he was found?
“Any piece of information could be vital in establishing exactly what happened.”

Two people – a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman – have been charged with murder.
