Two men have been arrested and over 80kilos of cocaine seized following a proactive operation in Colindale.

On Thursday, 6 May officers from Specialist Crime carried out the operation in Arctic House, Colindale.

A 41-year-old man was arrested outside the building in possession of around 1kg of cocaine; officers gained entry to his home address inside Arctic House. On searching the address a further 80kgs of cocaine and around £400,000 in cash were discovered.

A second man, aged 29, was also arrested after being found inside the address. Both men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and remain in custody.

Detective Inspector Stephen Masterson from Specialist Crime said:

“This is a significant seizure of class A drugs and cash. These drugs would have undoubtedly found its way into the communities of London fuelling the acquisitive crime and drug related violence which sadly goes hand in hand with this serious and organised criminality.

"Those involved in such activity should be aware that the Metropolitan Police will work tirelessly to protect the communities of London and ensure those involved in this insidious business face justice.”
