20-year-old critically injured in Southwark shooting
A man is in a critical condition in a south London hospital following a shooting in Southwark.
The 20-year-old was found seriously injured by Metropolitan Police officers on patrol at around 5.40pm on Wednesday (28 December).
He was treated for gunshot wounds and head injuries at the scene in Camberwell Church Street, near the junction with Grove Lane, SE5, by London's Air Ambulance before being taken to hospital.
The man remains in a critical condition and his family have been informed.
Cordons remain in place, including in the area of Leontine Close, Peckham, SE15, where shots were fired a short time before the injured man was found.
In a statement Scotland Yard said that the two incidents have been linked, but that there are no reports of any other injured person.
The force added that no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
