15 year-old girl stabbed in Hyde Park in London

The teenager was taken to hospital with stab wounds to her leg.

A teenager girl has been stabbed in central London at an annual event calling for the legalisation of marijuana.

The 15 year-old has been taken to hospital with leg wounds after being attacked with a knife.

Footage from the 4/20 demonstration in Hyde Park yesterday evening shows a group fighting.

Her condition's not thought to be life-threatening

At 18:12hrs on Tuesday, 20 April, officers on patrol in Hyde Park became aware of a fight in progress.

They dispersed those involved and found a 15-year-old girl who had been stabbed in the leg.

The officers immediately began first aid and the London Ambulance Service was called. The girl has been taken to hospital. Her condition is not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

A number of people are likely to have seen what happened. They are asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC providing the reference CAD 6227/20APR.

An increased number of officers were already in Hyde Park after people gathered illegally in breach of Covid regulations.
