A special garden in memory of Olivia Pratt-Korbel is being created in Knowsley.

The 9-year-old was shot last summer when a gunman ran into her home in Dovecot.

This week, Olivia's mum Cheryl has given us a sneak peek at a special place which is being created in Court Hey Park, where family and friends can go to remember her.

Pupils from Liv's school have been planting flowers to fill the space, which has a big mosaic butterfly on the wall, and there are also plans for a bench to be put there.

Cheryl said: "The children from Olivia's school come up in groups and they've been planting seeds which are currently growing into beautiful flowers, and on the back wall we've got a big beautiful mosaic butterfly, with every colour under the sun. People will be able to stand in front of it and have your picture taken so it looks like you've got wings yourself. Debbie the lady that's designed it (the butterfly) has put some lovely wording in it 'have hope', 'keep smiling'.

"Liv would be absolutely over the moon with it, she was very colourful herself. As much as she wasn't very green-fingered, she would brush up. She'd be made up."

Cheryl also told us why this park means so much to her: "We'd walk around the park, she'd bring her scooter. We had a community spirit festival on the evening of her birthday which was amazing. Even on the walk all I could think about was Olivia on her scooter, and where she fell over, where she'd tried to climb a tree. It was lovely memories."
