Mum Jennifer Venditti has posted pictures of her son standing in the same spot where a two-year-old boy was dragged off by an alligator in Florida, an hour before the incident took place near the Grand Floridian resort.

Lane Graves’ body was recovered by divers on Wednesday after he’d been snatched by an alligator at a man-made lake near the Walt Disney World resort.

He’d been playing by the water’s edge and although his parents, Matt and Melissa Graves, tried to save him, the boy was taken into the water where he sadly drowned.

The tragic story was talked about all over the world, with some criticising the parents on social media.

In a post which has been shared more than 200,000 times one woman, Jennifer Venditti, defended them and urged people to judge people less.

She posted pictures of her own child standing in the same spot an hour before the alligator incident took place. Although there had been a ‘no swimming’ sign, there are reportedly plans to add an alligator warning sign, which are common in public places over Florida.

As a precaution Walt Disney World closed all its beaches while they reviewed the safety protocols.
