Woman 'lucky' to survive M58 crash with relatively minor injuries

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash

A woman is 'lucky' to have survived a serious crash on the M58 this afternoon, after the front of her car was crushed underneath the back of a lorry.

Emergency services were called at around 2.50pm (Tuesday 13th April) to reports a car and a lorry had crashed on the approach to Switch Island on the M58.

The female driver of the Peugeot car suffered an injury to her face which required hospital treatment. Her injury isn't believed to be life threatening.

The man driving the lorry was uninjured and remained at scene to assist police with their inquiries

Police are now appealing for information following the collision.
