Woman found guilty of Old Swan murder
Dylan Bacon was stabbed in March last year
A woman has been found guilty of the murder of 39-year-old Dylan Bacon in Old Swan last year.
Officers were called to Rock Grove on the evening of 14 March 2022 and found Dylan in the street with serious injuries.
Officers administered CPR but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem found the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
Police arrested and charged Lea Rose Cheng, 27, of Rock Grove, with his murder.
Cheng pleaded not guilty to his murder but was today, Monday 4th September, found guilty.
She will be sentenced at 2pm on Friday, 8th September.
Speaking after the verdict, Dave Brunskill, Head of the Homicide Support Unit, said: "Firstly, I would like to convey that our thoughts are very much with Dylan’s family. It has been heart-breaking for them to relive his final moments during this trial.
“As the jury heard, Dylan’s tragically died at the hands of Cheng and she pleaded not guilty to his murder. This prolonged the agony for his family who had to endure a month-long trial hearing about the events of that fatal night.
