A man's fighting for his life in hospital, after he was stabbed in Croxteth on Saturday (11 March).

Merseyside Police say that at around 6.30pm, they received a report that a 24-year-old man had been stabbed on Carr Lane East.

Officers attended and an ambulance took the victim to hospital for treatment to chest and leg injuries. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Natalie Bennett, 46, of Carr Lane East has been charged with Section 18 wounding and will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today (Monday 13 March).

Two other people who were arrested have been conditionally bailed.
