Emergency services were called at about 8pm to a stationary car on Tollemache Road, Prenton, following a report of concern for the safety of a woman. Paramedics attended and attempts were made to revive the woman. She was taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The woman, who is 44, has been identified and her next of kin have been informed. Although the death is not thought to be suspicious at this time it is being treated as unexplained. A post-mortem is to be conducted to establish the cause of death.
