The husband of a woman found dead at a house in Moreton has admitted killing her.

58 year old Jill Sadler's body was discovered in the early hours of Sunday morning, at the property she shared with husband David on Wastdale Drive.

61 year old Mr Sadler appeared at Liverpool Crown Court earlier - and his lawyer, Miriam Sutton, told the judge he accepts unlawfully killing her.

Derek Jones, prosecuting, told the court that the cause of Mrs Sadler’s death, was “partially a head impact, compression of the neck and an external obstruction of the airways.”

No bail application was made for Mr Sadler, and he was remanded in custody until March 20th when he is expected to enter his plea.

A provisional trial date has been set for August 6th.
