More questions are being asked this morning about a lack of access to coronavirus tests.

Cath Bryant from Warrington - eventually managed to get one for her son - but had to drive a 40 mile round trip in the process.

She says she was surprised by what greeted her at the testing site

"It felt really frustrating to rock up to the test centre and I find it virtually empty, so why has it been so hard to book a test?"

It's claimed problems with the system could last for weeks with lab capacity being blamed for the backlog.

The Health Secretary says pressures mean testing will now have to be "prioritised".

Cath says based on what she's seen she's got serious concerns about what's yet to come.

"What happens when those Winter bugs start hitting? Do families have to take two weeks off work every time? Who is playing people's mortgages? Who is playing people's bills? People can't afford to keep losing two weeks chunks of wages"

You can hear Cath's account of her experience below.
