Wallasey Tunnel closed in both directions after reports of a man on a bridge

Drivers are being warned to avoid the Wallasey Tunnel after reports a man has climbed onto a bridge.

Police were called to the bridge on Pulton Road around 7.30am this morning to concerns of safety.

Emergency services are currently talking to the man involved, and the area is expected to be closed for some time

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
