Two teenagers have been stabbed in a car park in Liverpool.

The Q-park on Queen Square was closed off at around 21:30 on Monday night (09 December).

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with injuries to his arm and shoulder.

Merseyside Police said an 18-year-old man also suffered "slight injuries".

No arrests have been made, and officers are speaking to witnesses and looking at CCTV.

Detective Inspector Debra Morley said: "This is the early stages of our investigation and we'd like to speak to anyone in the area at around 9.15pm who saw the incident or anyone making off. CCTV, dashcam or other footage could be vital in finding those responsible so please come forward at the earliest opportunity.

"Knife crime has devastating consequences and we will respond to all information to identify who was involved, and anyone who carries weapons on the streets."
