Two men have been arrested following a high speed car chase which ended in a crash on Penny Lane.

At around 9.00pm, a police pursuit was carried out after reports were received of an Audi driving dangerously and at high speeds in Toxteth.

After driving through Otterspool and onto Queens Drive, the car collided with a Ford Focus driven by a member of the public on Penny Lane.

Damage was also caused to a second police vehicle attending the incident. An officer as well as the driver & passenger of the Ford Focus was treated for minor injuries.

Two men, aged 19 & 18 from Dingle were taken from the Audi and were treated for minor injuries.
