Two Charged With Murder Of Bootle Dad

Detectives investigating the stabbing of a Bootle man Steven Tucker have charged a 17 year old with murder.

A 33 year old man has also been charged with Perverting the Course of Justice and Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm.

51 year old father of five Steven Tucker was found in a flat on Wadham Road at the Bootle at the weekend.

His family have released this statement: "Dad was a hard-working, decent, man. Everyone who knew him loved him for the kind man he was. "This has has sent a shockwave through the family. We are all absolutely devastated that Dad's life has been taken away. "He was always the joker whether he was with the family around the table or with his friends in his local pub. "He has left behind five loving children and all we want to do is to continue to make him proud. "Rest in peace Dad, we will always love you." Detectives from Sefton CID are continuing to question two men aged 33 and 17 on suspicion of murder. Officers have been granted extra time by magistrates to continue to hold both men in custody. A 33-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman from Walton have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and also remain in custody at this time.
