Tranmere confirm details of Johnny King funeral
Service for legendary manager will be held on April 14th
Tranmere Rovers have confirmed the funeral service of thanksgiving for former Tranmere player and manager Johnny King will be held at 1pm at St Peter's Church, Lower Heswall on Thursday 14 April.
The club say any Tranmere supporters who wish to show their respects are welcome to attend at St Peter’s. This will be followed by a private committal and wake for family and friends only. A book of condolence is also available for supporters to sign at Prenton Park after the service.
The service is expected to be well attended and numbers are limited inside the church, though it is anticipated that the service will be relayed to those outside on a PA system.
The family are keen to see as many of Johnny’s former players and team mates as possible at the service. Any former players who wish to attend should contact the Club on 0151 609 3336 for further details.
