Train cables being fixed at Lime Street station after debris cleared

Engineers have cleared around 200 tonnes of debris on the track

Engineers are now repairing cables on the track at Lime Street is well underway after 200 tonnes of debris was removed from the line

Trains have been unable to run from the station since last week after parts of a wall collapsed.

It's meant that services have been starting and stoppping at Runcorn and Liverpool South Parkway ever since, with train companies putting on rail replacement bus services on as a result

Now Liverpool Lime Street's twitter account has released new photos to show the progress of the work being done

Network Rail has warned that it will be Thursday 9th March until trains are up and running again
