Three more arrests after fatal shooting in Kirkby

Two men and a woman were arrested in Shropshire on suspicion of murder on Wednesday

Detectives investigating the murder of 36-year-old Rikki Berry in Kirkby have arrested three people on suspicion of murder and possession of a firearm.

The arrests were made by West Mercia Police in Oswestry, Shropshire on Wednesday 24 July, on behalf of Merseyside Police.

Those arrested are a 24-year-old man of no fixed abode, a 25-year-old man from Kirkby and a 21-year-old woman from Kirkby. They are all currently in custody.

This brings the number of arrests to nine in connection with the investigation. Six people have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Merseyside Police are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses to come forward.
