Three dogs have died after a stabbing in Walton last night
Officers were called to Grace Road around 6.30pm following reports that five dogs had suffered injuries.
Two dogs, both believed to bull-terrier type dogs later died from their injuries and one, a Shar Pei, had to be put to sleep due to the extent of its injuries. The other two dogs, also bull terrier-type dogs are being cared for by a veterinary surgeon.

A 27 year-old man from the Bootle area has been arrested for possession of a bladed article and criminal damage. This man has since been released pending a disposal decision.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
