Third arrest made after teenage girl shot in Toxteth
A 27-year-old is being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder
A third person has been arrested, after a 15-year-old girl was shot on Upper Warwick Street, Toxteth on Tuesday (1 March).
The teenager's in a stable condition in hospital, after it happened while she was waiting at a bus stop after school.
Later that evening, a 21-year-old man turned up at hospital with a gunshot injury to his arm.
Police have now confirmed that a 27-year-old man from Toxteth, was arrested last night (Wednesday 2 March) on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm without a certificate.
A 60-year-old man from Toxteth who had earlier been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has now been released under investigation.
The 15-year-old girl who was injured remains in a stable condition in hospital.
Merseyside Police are urging anyone who has information, witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage to come forward as their information could greatly assist the investigation.
