It's set to get up to 30 degrees again today
It'st another hot day in store for Merseyside as the heatwave continues - with temperatures hitting around 30 degrees.
The mercury soared to 30.7C (87.2F) in Rostherne in Cheshire on Tuesday, beating Monday's high of 30.1C (86.1F) in London, the Met Office said.
Public Health England (PHE) has issued a warning saying the extreme heat may pose a risk to the most vulnerable
Yesterday saw temperatures in Liverpool hit 29 degrees. The RSPCA are warning people to keep their pets hydrated and cool in the heat.
No More Kennels, a dog resort in Warrington who look after dozens of pets every day have brought in paddling pools, cool jackets and marquees to help keep their visitors cool.
Rebecca Vaughan from the resort said:
"They want to play outside, but it's too hot, so we've had to make them nocturnal in a way, with the air conditioning on inside"
"We can't risk them go outside, the pavement is far too hot. We have to make sure every single dog is monitored"
