Teenager Charged With PC Murder

18-year-old Clayton Ronald Williams has been charged with the murder of PC David Phillips.

Two men are due before magistrates this morning (Thursday, 8th October) following the murder of PC Dave Phillips.

The 34-year-old police officer was killed in the early hours of Monday morning after being hit by a stolen pick up truck.

18-year-old Clayton Ronald Williams, of Wheatland Lane, Wallasey, is charged with the murder of PC Dave Phillips. He's also accused of burglary and aggravated unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle, as well as attempting to wound his colleague who was with PC Phillips at the time of his death. 30-year-old Phillip Stuart, of Mayfair Court in Oxton, has also been charged with aggravated unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle and burglary. They will both appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today.
