Teenager arrested after hit and run in Liverpool City Centre

Ateenager's been arrested after a suspected hit and run in Liverpool City Centre in the early hours of this morning.

CCTV footage on Slater Street shows a white car hitting four men around 2.45am as they cross the road.

One of those hit is ran over.

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable, a second 19-year-old man was also taken to hospital with minor facial injuries.

Police say the driver of a white Ford Kuga car did not stop at the scene and officers are investigating the incident. T

The car was also seen on Bold Street and Wood Street.

Detectives say a 19-year-old man from Stoneycroft has been arrested on Aigburth Road this morning on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Sergeant Gerard Farley said: “We would appeal to anyone who was in the Slater Street, Bold Street and Wood Street area to come forward if they have witnessed this incident or have witnessed a white Ford Kuga car in the area at the time travelling at speed."
