A teenager has been arrested after a 14 year old girl was stabbed in the neck in Seaforth.
Officers were called to reports that a 14-year-old girl had been assaulted by another teenager and had suffered a half inch wound to her neck.
The teenager was taken to hospital where she is being treated.
Crime Scene Investigators have carried out forensic examinations at the scene and house-to-house inquiries have been carried out.
Detectives are also examining CCTV footage to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
