Tall Ships wow the crowds in Liverpool
Hundreds of thousands packed into the city over the Bank Holiday
Thousands lined the streets of Liverpool over the Bank Holiday weekend to wave goodbye to the Tall Ships,
17 ships made their way down the River Mersey as part of the Parade of Sail as they made their way out to the Irish Sheet.
It was a spectacular end to the festival which saw hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city.
Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson tweeted "What an amazing site."
"Tall ships, live music, street theatre, fireworks a great weekend had by all, thank you to all our staff & Teams. When the sunshine’s no better place in the world"
