A warrant has been issued for a man who is accused of stalking actress and reality star Stephanie Davis.

The warrant was issued by a judge at Liverpool Magistrates' Court after Alex Boston, 44, failed to attend the sentencing hearing.

Prior to the hearing, Boston had pleaded guilty to a charge of stalking involving serious alarm and distress from April 2020 to July 2021.

Speaking about the case, the Crown Prosecution Service said that the Hollyoaks actress and Big Brother star was forced to move out of her home and suffered serious panic attacks due to the "frightening and distressing campaign of obsessive and unwanted contact".

Stephanie Davis was subjected to a bombardment of letters from an obsessed Boston.

Boston had sent Ms Davis a deluge of letters and social media messages, as well as showing up at her home unannounced.

When police raided his former home in Moreton on the Wirral, several letter intended to be sent to Ms Davis were found.

Following an initial hearing, Boston was due to appear in court for sentencing for his charges.

However, due to his absence, District Judge Paul Healey issued an arrest warrant without the possibility of bail for the man.

The case has since been adjourned until Boston, who now holds no fixed address, is found and arrested.
