Police search for suspects following stabbing in Liverpool

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the back and the face on a street in Liverpool.

Emergency services rushed to Handfield Street at around 17:15GMT on Sunday 01 December, where a 37-year-old man was found injured.

He remains in hospital, and is not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.

Police are now looking for three teenagers, believed to have been involved in the attack.

They were all dressed in black and were last seen heading to Breckfield Road North.

Detective Inspector Neil Dillon, said “We are in the very early stages of the investigation and are appealing to anyone who has any information, or witnessed the incident to come forward and speak to us.

“If you were driving along Handfield Street, or Breckfield Road North, and have any dashcam footage, or you live there and have CCTV, please review your footage and get in touch if you captured anything."

Crime Scene Investigators are carrying out forensic examinations at the scene and officers are conducting house-to-house inquiries.

CCTV footage will also be examined in a bid to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.
